Early departures
Parents/carers who would like to collect their child before
school finishes are to visit the main office to receive an early departure slip
to take to their child’s class. If
another person other than the parent/carer is to collect the child the
parent/carer must phone the office on 5441 0888 to provide details of the
person collecting.
Storm season
During the storm season we will share with you via School
Stream any storm warnings we receive through the Bureau of Meteorology. This is a proactive way to keep you informed
around the weather conditions we may be expecting or experiencing. Many parents
work away from the area and others have informed us that they do not access the
BOM website.
Our sharing of this information is not an indicator of the
school being closed or the need for you to pick up your child/ren early from
school. If we feel there is a need for
early pick up, we will add this information into the alert. Please do not assume that we want your
children collected.
If there is a storm cell near our school at pick up time,
please note that our first responsibility is to your child’s safety, and as
such, children may be required to stay in classrooms until it is safe for them
to be released. If you come to the
school and are worried about a storm, you are more than welcome to shelter in
the administration block or in your child’s classroom.
