Burnside State School achieves its mission by identifying as a school based on trust, believe and belong. We ensure that we set high expectations for all in our school community and work closely with students, parents and community organisations to ensure all students are supported academically, socially and emotionally. Our school plays an important role in the community by providing education for all our students in Prep to Year 6, our early childhood development program and our community playgroup.
Our school focuses on student wellbeing and provides support to our students, staff and community. In 2018, Burnside State School began the journey of becoming an officially recognised as a 'Not Now, Not Ever' school based on our strong commitment to taking a stand against violence within our community. Our children are amazing young people and as a school we have identified key skills that our children will need as 21st Century learners. We promote: character, citizenship, collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking.
